“Bauhaus” style and a Japanese aesthetic contributed to the design of the bedspread and cushion. Despite of all the modernity it breathes, the black slightly glittery circles were created using a centuries-old technique which has fallen into disuse due to its complexity.

The bedspread and cushion are made of double-ikat fabric using two layers of cotton. Using the hand-embroidered red circles, the patterned top material is bonded with the solid-color bottom layer. The red of the embroidery thread is mirrored by the bedspread trim and by the cushion.
